The Story
This song was born out of pure, unplanned inspiration. We were on a writing retreat in the mountains with a few fellow songwriters and producers. It was late, freezing, and we were exhausted from the drive. As soon as we got to the hotel, we set up our gear in one of the rooms so we’d be ready to work the next morning.
Before heading to bed, I opened my laptop to show the guys a beat I’d put together a few days earlier. We grabbed something warm to drink, and even though we were half-asleep, Florian Rus started scribbling some lyrics for fun while Robert Toma hummed a few melodic ideas. Soon enough, with Loredana Cavașdan, they shaped a first verse and a hook.
The vibe was so good that Marius Moga jumped in, and right there in the hotel hallway he recorded a rough demo in his own voice. That’s how the song came to life. We knew it was special, but we didn’t yet know who it was meant for.
A few days later, back in Bucharest, Delia stopped by the studio while putting together the playlist for her Deliria album. The moment she heard the idea, she jumped to her feet, lit up, and said she wanted to record it in her own style.
The final production came together with Alex Parker, who joined after we had Delia’s vocals recorded and the artistic direction set. He played a big part in shaping the final sound. We recorded it with Delia soon after, and just like that—what started as a late-night jam in the mountains made its way onto a pop star’s album.
